I LUV Wally-World!
 

Well, at least tonight, anyway. Last weekend I mentioned how I cleaned them out of the last four 15 rd. boxes of 12 ga. 2 3/4" 00 buckshot they had under the counter. Tonight I was out that way, and checked again - the space where the 15 rd. boxes go was still empty.

As was walking away, an employee who I'd guess was in her mid 30s or so (in other words, it wasn't the typical high school or college kid you usually deal with), asked if I needed help. I told her that they didn't have what I was looking for. Usually that's the end of the conversation at Wally-World, Home Depot, or Lowes, etc., but she asked, "What exactly are you looking for." So I told her. She looked in the case, and confirmed that there weren't any in there.

But then she says, "Let me check and see if we'll be getting any in soon." So she scans in the price code into her magic scanner gun, and then says, "Wait, this says we have 20 boxes on hand. Do you have a few minutes? I have to get some other stuff out of the security area anyway, so I'll check for those while I'm there." "Sure, I'll wait."

Sure enough, she comes back with a bunch of ammo, and among them are two cases of my 15 rd. boxes (10 per case). She asks me how many I want, and I say, "I'll take a case. Wait, I might as well get more since the price will probably go up - I'll take them all."

So, for $198, I walk out of Wally-World with 300 rds of 12 ga. buckshot. I'm happy.... :applause_

Nice score! What brand are these 15 rd. boxes? I don't think they carry 15 rd. boxes here but I may be wrong.

Winchester SuperX. Most of the Wally-Worlds will carry the 5 rd boxes, but not all of them carry the 15 rd. "value packs." The pricing on the value packs works out to getting three 5 rd. boxes for just a little more than the price of two.

They also have value packs in 12 ga. 3" 00 buck and 12 ga. rifled slugs.
